KAREN MORRISON ARTIST'S BIO & STATEMENT

I was born in Cheltenham England, but I've lived in Canada most of my
life. Canada and specifically Nova Scotia is my home. I've had an
interest in art all my life and although I am mostly self-taught, I have
studied under a local artist here and received training at Acadia University.

The mediums I use are acrylics and watercolor but my
fascination is with watercolor. I love its brilliance and clarity and
utilizing the properties of water and its effects. I have a love for
painting whatever inspires me and I'm happiest when I'm doing so! I seem
to be drawn to paint chickadees and other beautiful birds in
their natural habitat. I also love to paint children in outdoor settings
playing or walking and enjoying nature.

I have sold my watercolor paintings on EBay and it's been a joy to have this interest
in my paintings. They have found their way into private collections of
wonderful people in Canada and the United States!
