Diane Lennox is a third generation Canadian Artist who lives with her family of five on 6 acres of 100 year old Rainforest on the East coast of Vancouver Island BC, CANADA.

After a childhood and adolescence filled with artistic & creative play without purpose, Diane started out creating art seriously at the age of 35 when she volunteered to make a
art quilt square for the community fund raising group called Island Quilters For Community Awareness.
Four years and four art quilt squares later, she became aware of a strong urge to paint way outside the lines, with canvas and acrylics.

This new organic art form was like being set free, with all the flexibility that was definitely not part of creating art
with fabric
, needle & thread.

Diane  signed up for the Fine Arts Program at North Island College, where she discovered herself to be an actual artist.

That was all 15 years ago now, and it's been a wild ride since with numerous physical issues making it increasingly difficult for her to paint & draw.
Diane had been an anti-computer kind of person until that pesky disability forced her to start learning art all over again, this time using a computer and Painter, a digital art software program that produces organic, artistic strokes. The results can be seen in the artwork shown here at her WOODPECKER GALLERY.
